HANNAH Lewis and Adrianna Boullossa both bagged hat-tricks as Swindon ladies romped to a 7-0 success over rivals Marlborough to keep hold of top spot.

Swindon’s free-scoring forwards took just three minutes to find an opening as Gemma Scrase crossed for Lewis to convert from close range.

The home side continued to press the Marlborough circle and Boullossa grabbed two quickfire goals. The first came from a low shot following excellent play from Charlie George and the second was courtesy of an individual masterclass as Boullosa beat three players before slipping the ball past the goalkeeper.

One more goal arrived before the break as strong attacking play from Chloe Lewis allowed Scrase to slot home.

Marlborough came back into the game at the start of the second half and forced a penalty corner but Swindon soon began to dominate again.

Lewis quickly notched up two more goals to complete her hat-trick, one from a well-executed penalty corner and another from an exquisite reverse-stick pass from Lewis.

Not wanting to be outdone, Boullosa wrapped up a treble of her own before the final whistle.

Meanwhile, Wootton Basset ladies were knocked out of the cup with a 3-0 loss at higher-league Hereford.

Bassett can still take good heart from a solid performance, which saw Vicky Sammon and Abi Turner voted joint players of the match.
