PETER Kildemand’s chances of riding for the Swindon Robins next season appear to be fading.

Having signed with a new Polish club earlier today, who will be announced in the coming days, the Dane took to Twitter to say that he was happy to have his clubs sorted for 2015.

Robins’ team manager Alun Rossiter had been hoping to work out a way to get Kildemand to return to the Abbey Stadium next year but, with the rider wanting to reduce his travelling, that looks less and less likely.

The Robins number one last term has not ruled out a return to Swindon but he has suggested that he could take a year out from racing in England.

“I spoke to Rosco (Rossiter) one week ago and he said the he would see if he could sort anything out but I haven’t heard anything yet,” Kildemand told the Swindon Advertiser this afternoon.

“I don’t think we’ll find a solution together.

“To be fair, I think I have been doing too much and I think it is good for me to try and take the year out (from Britain) and see how it goes.

“It is all the travelling that has been killing me in the last couple of years.

“I don’t want to be in the same situation as last year. With the Grands Prix as well there is probably going to be more riding this year than last year, so I think it is good to take a year out and hopefully I can be back in England.

“I haven’t said no to anything just yet. I am still open to what is going on and if we can put it in and it is not going to be too much then I am glad to do England again. But, at the moment, I don’t really see how we can do it.

“Hopefully I can be back. If it is not going to be in 2015 hopefully I will be back one day.

“I have been really glad to ride with Swindon for all these years, so if I am going to be back in England then my first priority is definitely going to be Swindon.

“They have the fans that have been good to me and Rosco and everybody have been really good to me so hopefully I can be back there one day.”

With the draft fixture list for next season’s Elite League expected to be released before Christmas, co-promoter Colin Pratt hopes they can still make the bits of the jigsaw fit for Kildemand to return to Swindon but he admitted it would not be easy.

“There are a lot of things and I have Peter’s first draft fixtures and the European Championship qualifier is down on my pad and the Danish fixtures haven’t come in. They seem to be slow so we are waiting for them and we’ll take it from there,” said Pratt.

“Hopefully we can sort some things about so it can work for Peter.”
