DAVID Howell continues to climb the rankings at the Dubai Desert Classic after a second consecutive three-under-par round.

The Broome Manor pro rose to tied 34th place after this morning’s under par round left him on seven under for the tournament going into the final day tomorrow.

Howell started the day in a perfect way as he birdied the par-four second hole before going two-under par with a birdie on the par-four sixth to go out in 33.

The 39-year-old had a mixed back nine which started with a birdie on the par-five tenth.

However Howell recorded two bogeys either side of a birdie on hole 13 to bring the score back to two-under-par.

Howell goes into the final day 13 shots off the leader Rory McIlroy, after a birdie on the final hole of the day put some extra gloss to his score-card.
