KATIE Franks and Michelle Giddings returned home from the British Tae Kwon-Do Council Ladies and Juniors Championships in Worcester with silver medals.
Swindon East TAGB Tae Kwon-Do assistant instructor Franks claimed her medal in the individual sparring before joining Great Britain teammates Amy Clay and Nicola Lane to win the tag team event.
Giddings also took a silver in sparring but was unplaced in the patterns event, which saw club-mate Sandra Harper finish fourth.
Swindon East senior instructor Master Martyn Dipper, a sixth degree black belt, said: “I’m very pleased with all of the students’ performances in the competition.
“There were some excellent martial artists from all around the country - it was a tough competition with a strong standard in many of the divisions.”
Swindon East TAGB Tae Kwon-Do club trains in the New College Sports Centre on Wednesday evenings 5pm - 6pm for juniors aged 4-8 years and juniors, teenagers and adults train at 6pm-7pm.
