ROBINS clocked up their first 60-point haul of the season as they thrashed Lakeside (Arena Essex) at Blunsdon.
It was an awesome performance as they put behind them the blip at Wolverhampton on Monday night with seven 5-1 maximums and four 4-2s.
A further boost came with Charlie Gjedde back in the points again and producing a couple of superb passing movements.
He rattled up 12+2 points, only just missed out on a paid maximum in heat nine and his partnership with Sebastian Ulamek looked formidable.
Polish ace Ulamek notched the same score as Gjedde, only missing his full house in nine when Adam Shields registered Lakeside's only race win.
Skipper Leigh Adams, as usual, led from the front with a paid maximum and helping partner Tomasz Chrzanowski with a fine display of team riding to a good haul.
And Lee Richardson emphasised his nightmare 2006 is behind him with four winning rides and a genuine full house to boost his confidence.
At reserve Mads Korneliussen enjoyed another fine haul, enjoying himself immensely, and notching paid nine.
The only rider to miss out was No.8 Tommy Allen who failed to trouble the scorers from his three rides.
Hammers were extremely disappointing not offering any threat whatsoever.
Guest Simon Stead, who normally blasts around Blunsdon, only scored four points.
The visitors' top scores were Krzysztof Kasprzak with 10 which included a tactical ride and Aussie Adam Shields with seven including Lakeside's only heat win of the night.
Adams said: "Everyone rode to their ability so it was disappointing that Wolves slipped away the other night.
"The first priority is make sure of the bonus point and try and snatch a win away. That was a big win, hopefully we can follow it up in the return.
"Everyone was looking for each other which was good and should help confidence riding away from home."
Richardson added: "That was a fantastic win and I was pleased to score a maximum.
"It is great riding with Leigh (Adams) again in heat 13 as we have a good understanding.
"He takes the inside line which makes it much easier for me.
"Hopefully we can now go there and get an away win as well."
Robins made the perfect start to the meeting as Adams blasted out of the gate and helped partner Chrzanowski around the first bend into second spot.
They then team rode brilliantly for the first 5-1 maximum of the night.
Korneliussen powered to victory in the next before Gjedde put his nightmare meeting on Monday at Wolverhampton behind him.
Together with Ulamek, they easily outgunned the Hammers pairing of Kasprzak and Leigh Lanham.
Richardson just got the better of Shields in race four and with Korneliussen third the 4-2 put Swindon into a comfortable 17-7 lead.
The Gjedde and Ulamek partnership then registered their second 5-1 maximum of the evening, before Adams nursed home Chrzanowski in race six for another maximum. This extended Robins advantage to a commanding 27-9.
Lakeside hit back in the next as they gave Kasprzak a tactical ride.
However, he could not get the better of Richardson and finished second, although Hammers claimed a 5-3 heat advantage.
Chrzanowski clocked up his third paid win of the night as he outgunned Paul Hurry in eight and with Korneliussen taking third Swindon moved further in front at 34-16.
Shields became Hammers first winner of the night as he nearly rode Ulamek into the fence on the first and second turns of heat nine. But with Gjedde finishing third the points were shared.
Adams had to pull out all the stops in race 10 as Kasprzak had the audacity to lead him for two laps. But the skipper lined him up perfectly to produce a brilliant inside pass and go on to victory in the quickest time of the night.
In the end Chrzanowski only just failed to catch Kasprzak and was denied a paid maximum.
Richardson blasted away guest Stead in the next for his third race win of the night and with Ulamek and Korneliussen taking a 4-2 in 12 Swindon led 48-26 at the interval and had sewn up victory.
They finished in style to make the aggregate point a certainty.
The formidable Adams and Richardson pairing recorded the fifth 5-1 maximum in heat 13 before a spectacular 5-1 followed in the next.
Gjedde produced his trademark blast around the outside of Lanham, while Korneliussen did similar on the third lap to follow home his fellow Dane .
Then Ulamek and Gjedde rounded things off with another 5-1 as Gjedde blasted past Kasprzak on the second lap to take Robins past the 60 mark.
It was originally going to be American Brent Werner but he sustained a knee injury riding for Birmingham.
Lakeside will use Chris Louis for Joonas Kylmakorpi who has not recovered from a dislocated shoulder.
