I HAVE got in as reserve for the GB Speedway World Cup squad and it’s a few weeks away yet. Anything can happen between now and then and as Rosco said, if anything happens in the first round, you never know; I might get a shot at King’s Lynn.

I don’t want to jinx anyone but I just want to keep doing well and hopefully have a good shot at it.

I just take every meeting as it comes and when Rosco rang to say ‘you’re in the squad’, it was a big achievement for me and then for him to say ‘you’re in the top five’, that was an even bigger one.

If I keep scoring the points and we keep getting results, you never know what can happen.

Tuesday’s win over Coventry was good. It was a tough night and we knew it was always going to be because they’re in form.

They’ve been winning home and away but it was good – I just need to practice those heat 15s a bit more.

In heat nine, I just used a bit of track knowledge and got the job done.

I’ve been riding decent around here but I knew that I could do better and I showed it on Tuesday.

I just keep getting sevens or eights and when you’re getting seven or eights, you want to push on to those 10s or 11s.

On Tuesday, we only dropped one point out of the four rides. It’s just a shame about the heat 15 but we’ll get there.

We were making good starts, so we’ll definitely get there. It’s a long old season and we’re not even halfway through yet.

We’ve got a bit of a break now, so that’ll be good too.

We’re getting a bit of form now, so I can’t complain. We’ve been consistent all year and we’ve not had a bad meeting.

Like I said at the start of the year, I just want to be consistent and score points.
