SWINDON are targetting a hat-trick of wins as they start to look up the table ahead of their match with Chippenham.

After a slow start to the campaign Andrew Staff’s side have got their season back on track with wins over Apperley and Warminster.

Now Swindon head to Hardenhuish Park to play one of the early season favourites for the Glos/Wilts Division, but Chippenham have had their own problems as they have only claimed one win in their opening four fixtures.

Staff will not take the trip lightly, but hopes to start looking at the teams above them if they are able to clinch victory and put some daylight between themselves and the teams in the lower reaches of the division “We are next to each other in the table so we know that it’s going to be a tight game,” he said.

“This league is about trying to put results together, we’ve got two wins so now we have to try to get another one.

“If we can do that then we can start to look upwards rather than downwards, which we have been at the start of the season.

“All the sides are good sides in this league and Chippenham will be a tough test.

“With each performance we have been getting better.

“There have been good signs in every game and five of the top six have got a decent score under their belts so far and we’ve got to look to continue this momentum.

“We didn’t play them at all last year as both games were rained off and we were in a different division the year before that, so we haven’t played them for a couple of years.

“It’s a bit of a derby but it’s not a massive one for us, although I know they’ve got some good players and are a good side.”
