FORMER Bradon Forest pupil Craig Miles has been shortlisted for the LV= Breakthrough Player award.

The young Gloucestershire seamer, from Swindon, is one of six cricketers to be nominated for the accolade, which recognises emerging young talent in the domestic four-day game.

Miles, who earlier in the month spent the day bowling at the England batsmen ahead of their one-day international against New Zealand at Trent Bridge, is joined by Yorkshire’s Jack Leaning, Ollie Robinson, of Sussex, Surrey’s Tom Curran, Nottinghamshire’s Luke Wood and Lancashire’s Alex Davies in the running for the award after catching the attention of both professionals and pundits with some stellar performances in the county championship this season.

The 2015 LV=CC Breakthrough Player will be decided by the public, who can vote for their winner at www.LV.com/cricket
