Walcot's Finest duly wrapped up the Divison Eight title with a 2-1 win at Swindon City, for whom Carl Shepherd scored, writes STEVE ASHLEY.
Long time leaders West Swindon Wanderers finished runners-up after a 2-1 away win at VC Cars, with Paul Carroll and Jon Driver both netting.
Purton Red House recorded the league's top score with a 16-0 win at SDC Marston. Anthony Goodall. Ash Stevens, Callum Hall, Alex Pethick, Rich Wilkins all scored once, Steve Hall and Sean Clark a hat-trick apiece and Junior Small a five-timer.
Further big scorers were The Pattern Store who beat Patheon 11-1. Four-timers from Sam Willard and Dave Price were added to by James Mann with a couple and Dan Cooper. Andy Gordon replied for Patheon.
Kevin Taylor, Rob Metcalfe and Jamie Davies all scored in the AFC Casbah 6-3 defeat at Stratton St Margaret.
Division One Greyhound completed their season with 3-2 win at Swindon West Indians with Jerry Wright and Anton Webb on the mark for the losers.
Wroughton WMC were 6-1 winners at home against Penhill United with doubles from Sean Purcell, Mark Bone and Tom Steptoe.
Division Two Champions Sunday Merlin lost 5-3 at home to The Rat Trap. Stuart Mariott, Chris Williams and Steve Stewart were all on the scoresheet for Merlin but a Dean Wilson hat-trick, Ben Casey and Aaron Williams saw Rat Trap home.
The battle for the runners-up spot continued as Jovial Monk beat GW Nalgo 4-2 with goals from Lee Marshall (2), Dennis King and Dwayne Quinn. James Keller and Simon Williams replied for Nalgo.
Shield & Dagger won 4-3 at Wanborough thanks to Louis Cunningham, Craig Green and Neil Lee with a double. The Wanborough efforts came from Pete Myall, Chris Rusling and Stuart Buscombe.
Division Three Duckhams won again to close in on leaders RJK Ferndale and now are one point behind with a game in hand. Mark Croydon and James Bradfield gave them a 2-1 home success against KMLC.
Sony Owl Madrid and Dynamo Ashton drew 2-2 with John McDonough and Daniel Smith on target for Ashton.
Division Four AFC Cricklade dropped a point away at Abbey Scaffolding Dolphin when they drew 2-2. Ross Kent put Abbey in front before John Davoile (pen) and Mark Giles put the leaders in front, only for Darren Higgs to equalise.
Behind them Nine Elms warmed up for their Chairman's Trophy final on Sunday against Bear Marlborough with a 2-0 win at KO Cup finalists Mason J Campbell James.
Warren Fuller and James Townsend hit the back of the net in a vital win with the league title looking likely to go down to the last fixture when AFC Cricklade and Nine Elms meet.
Lava Lounge signed off their season with a 6-3 home win against Liden Sunday. Andi Drinkwater, Kevin Murphy, Mike Yates and a hat-trick for Andy Willis saw them home.
Castrol beat Pennoes 5-1 with efforts from Adam Little, Pete Griffiths and Craig Ingram with a hat-trick. Jason Cobb scored for Pennoes.
Division Five Westlink won 4-0 at Fox & Hounds with Matt Bissett, Carl and Barry Taylor and Kieran Cronin netting.
They play leaders Dennis Removals next week who need to beat Village Inn on Thursday to win the league.
In joint second are Queenstown Sunday after their 4-0 home win over Intermach with goals from Gary McGunigall, Tom Green, Gary Smith and Terry Wallace.
A Terry Dearing goal helped GTS to a 1-0 home success against AFC Royston.
Division Six Runners-up AFC Classic signed off their campaign with a 2-0 home win against Sandgate Int thanks to goals from Ben Hollingshead and Kenny Owen.
A high scoring game between Eldene Social Club and Smart Movers ended in an 8-5 win for Eldene. A superb seven-timer from Dave Rendle plus one from Gary Humphries saw Eldene finish third. The Smart Movers scorers were Paul Saunders with a couple, Duncan Baylis, Cain Downes and Dan Whittaker.
Division Seven Chairman's Trophy finalists Bear Marlborough beat Blueprint Chiseldon 4-2 with strikes from Ryan Banks, Darren Ball, Brett Reay and Justin Guarnieri.
Cats Solutions swept aside The Abbey 10-2. Doubles from Nathan Shepherd, Craig Jones, Ryan Keech, Nathan Wallace with a hat-trick and Dave Crook with one ended Cats' season on a high. Mark Blaylock scored both of the Abbey consolation efforts.
All that remains in this division is Sunday's game between Stratton United and Pinehurst Community, the winner of which will take the league title.
