NATIONWIDE House’s three-match unbeaten run was emphatically ended as Bradford on Avon clinched a 140-run victory in Division One.

After losing the toss, openers Ian Pinchen (60) and Matthew Harrington put on 47 before Pinchen and Paul Vooght shared 67.

Kit Chapman 43 off 25 balls, including five sixes and a four and, with Vooght (95 not out), he put on 93 as Bradford reached 234-5.

Nationwide openers Roger Pettifer and Mick Harris also put on a solid first wicket stand of 45 in 16 overs.

But once Harris departed, the home side lost six wickets for 24 runs, four falling to captain Matthew Harrington, who took 4-15 from his 12 overs.

Two wickets were claimed by debutant Tom Lacey, who picked up 2-11 from his seven overs.

The game was wrapped up shortly afterwards, with Tony Laws taking 3-12 from five and Matt Knight grabbing the final wicket.

Royal Wootton Bassett remain at the head of affairs as Swindon Civil Service were easily put to the sword.

Ian Lancaster’s 4-12 in 7.3 overs paved the way for Bassett to bowl their rivals out for just 94 and Charanveer Chahal’s unbeaten 31 steered them home for the loss of just three wickets.

Division 2

SWINDON Nalgo completed a huge run chase in their derby against Swindon A.

After winning the toss and batting, the A team accumulated a mammoth 326 in 45 overs, Christy Millar scoring a beautiful 102, Michael Wilson adding 83 and Sean Parker 50.

Mudassar Rafiq got Nalgo home with an unbeaten knock of 143, Rizwan Quadri (59) and Ahmad Faraz (48) making good contributions to Nalgo’s sixth win in a row.

Nalgo had also been on good form 24 hours earlier, Atif Raja (73), Rizwan Quadri (53) and Imran Dastagir (46) all making good contributions in their 276-9 against Spye Park.

The reply ended at 110, Prashant Joshi taking 5-32 and Zak Anwar 3-44.

Swindon United Churches are top after two wins at the weekend.

Saturday’s triumph came at then-leaders Bear Flat, who batted first but were dismissed for 177, Richard Martin taking 5-28 and leg spinner Ravi Dhayalan 2-52.

A rain-reduced target of 174 from 44 overs was set for Churches, and Danny Hunt’s unbeaten 79 from 88 balls broke the back of it, aided by Matt Shadwick (8*) late on. On Sunday, Keevil recovered from 52-4 and 98-6 to reach 185 all out, opener Andy Hallett hitting 49 and Josh Hamblin 45 not out.

But Jimmy Mann, who had earlier taken 3-42 - Hunt taking 3-33 - scored an unbeaten 113 from 102 balls, receiving fine support from Matt Runkel (51 from 82 balls) in a huge partnership of 145 to help Churches home by eight wickets.

Division 3

BEEHIVE continue to lead the charge at the top of the table after a hefty 122-run success over Wanborough.

Neil Harber scored 94 of his side’s 224-7 and Wanborough were never in the hunt, subsiding to 102 all out, with James Taylor taking 5-19 and Pete Andrews 3-21.

Royal Wootton Bassett 2nd stayed on the pace as Mark Vincent’s unbeaten 82 helped them overhaul Corsham’s 132 all out - in which Paul Curtis took 5-45 - with 136-2.

All Cannings broke the 300-run barrier as Steve Parker hit 101, Matt Tilley 72 and Richard Mansell 64 in their 308-5.

Ramsbury’s reply ended at 72 all out, Hugo Saye with 4-32 and Tilly’s hat-trick (3-2) doing the damage.

Division 4

LEADERS White Horse were seven-wicket winners over Royal Wootton Bassett 3rd, for whom Prav Chahal scored 40 of 136 all out, Nathan Sheffield taking 5-28. Chris Ladd’s unbeaten 52 guided Horse to their target.

Division 7

HIGHWORTH continued their march towards the title as they secured an 88-run success over Burbage & Easton Royal 4th.

Ryan Allen’s 52 and Paul Squires (48) helped Highworth to 240-5 before Burbage were all out for 152. Henry Adamson scored 25 for the beaten side, Dan Hunt taking 4-29.
