A COUPLE of weeks ago we went through a bit of a restructure behind the scenes, with several TrustSTFC board members adopting new roles within our organisation.

The aim is to make us a much more effective working group - and also to finally develop some of the ideas we had discussed at the AGM earlier this year.

We have also welcomed a new Trust board member: Mr Sam Morshead, who many of you will know from his years of media coverage around the club.

Sam is an excellent wordsmith and originally joined us to write the occasional column. However, he has since offered to step up to board level, and we are delighted that he will now be heading up communications with our members and the local media - a role that is absolutely crucial to our future success.

It’s really important that Sam helps us get the message out regarding what we are trying to do with the Red Army Fund.

There are many people still confused or apathetic about what we are trying to achieve, but it really is very simple to understand - we want the Supporters to have their own pot of money that can be used to enhance the club we all love.

We’re not just talking about the much publicised Stratton Bank roof, which is a long term project, but we’re also talking about other smaller improvements to the stadium.

We are also eager to promote all of our community projects, such as getting youth groups interested, helping disabled and charity groups to come along to games, running promotions to get more supporters in the ground, helping to get the atmosphere up via streamers and banners, and much more.

Basically, we want to use the fund for anything that we think will help to make the overall match day experience a better one for all supporters.

We’re always open to fresh ideas, and happy to discuss the things we are doing with supporters - so if you have any suggestions, questions or concerns - please come and see us on a Saturday match day at the County Ground.

We have a small TrustSTFC team situated behind the Town End before every Saturday home game, between 1.45pm and 2.45pm - so please pop along and we will help you.

Please help us and sign up as a Trust member today - your club needs you, and there is no need to wait!
