PINEHURST A took on Corsham in Division One of the Swindon & District Netball Association League, the match finishing as 34-34 draw and Pinehurst’s player of the match being Lucy Burton.
Croft A got off to a nervous start against Raychem B but came out guns blazing in the third and eventually won 55-43, Croft’s goal shooter Becky Timbrell being named player of the match.
Burmah A were without their regular shooters against Raychem A, but Gemma Ashman and player of the match Zoe Roberts stepped up, Raychem A winning 61-39.
Delta Reds A’s clash with Razzle Dazzle ended in a thrilling 41-41 draw. Division One rookie Flo Lester was given player of the match for Delta Reds.
A top-of-the-table Division Two clash saw Abbey Meads A pull away to a 57-48 triumph, with Jenna Goodright being Pinehurst’s player of the match.
In the same division, Pinehurst C beat Burmah B 52-49, thanks to a player of the match display by Taylor Goodright.
Superb shooting from Burmah C’s captain and player of the match Charlotte Donaldson secured a 24-15 win in Division Three.
Goal attack Louise Giles was player of the match for Nationwide C.
Fairford B beat Delta Reds B 31-27, Fairford centre Mollie Davies being awarded player of the match.
In Division Five, Pinehurst E lost out to Coleview 50-11, with Courtney Williams the player of the match for Pinehurst. Elsewhere, Marlborough took on six-player Abbey Meads E and won 44-11.
Lawn Netball had a clean sweep at the weekend, with six wins out of six.
The B team took on Fairford A, with fine defensive play by player of the match and goal keeper Amy Yea, who returned only five weeks after having a baby.
Fairford’s player of the match, goal attack Chloe Dodgson, scored well from distance before the fourth quarter saw Lawn take a decisive lead, winning 51-38.
Lawn C showed their dominance against Abbey Meads D to win 52-16, WA Amy Dodgson receiving player of the match.
Lawn A battled it out with Moredon A in the top flight, winning 39-20 with centre Julie Harris their player of the match.
Lawn D beat Jets B with excellent shooting in bad conditions, WD Ava Kirbyville starring in a 41-30 triumph.
LAWN’S Regional League Two squad took on local rivals Pinehurst, excellent shooting from GA Charlotte Legge helping to secure a 47-42 success.
Lawn over 35’s took on Delta Reds in the Thursday night league, goal shooter Cath Bull received player of the match for her impressive shooting accuracy in a 36-12 win.
Lawn’s Under 11s drew 4-4 and the Under 12s won 26-4, while the Under 14 regional team travelled to Cheltenham to take on Cirencester and won 26-21.
A fine first game of the season for the Raychem Under 11s, down to 6 players due to illness, saw them see of Croft 8-1.
Raychem Under 13s played Fairford in the Junior league, winning 27-8 with centre Annabel Cripps being given player of the match.
