THERE were a number of familiar faces casting an eye over Swindon Town at the weekend.
Queens Park Rangers director of football Les Ferdinand and technical director Chris Ramsey were both in the directors’ box to keep tabs on their asset Michael Doughty.
Meanwhile, former Aston Villa manager Tim Sherwood took his place next to chairman Lee Power and former Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers was in the stands to watch his son Anton, who failed to make it onto the pitch.
Town’s sporting director Seamus Brady joked that it felt like a school reunion but is pleased that the club have so many supporters of what they are trying to do.
“Obviously Les and Chris will be here to have a look at Michael Doughty, who we have on loan until the end of the season,” he told BBC Wiltshire.
“But they, as is Brendan, are massive supporters of what we are trying to do here.
“Anton is here as well, Brendan’s son, so Brendan is obviously a massive supporter of the team and has seen a lot of games.
“As has Tim. He wants to see the team do well and they are all buying into what we are trying to do here.”
