SWINDON Supermarine’s game with Mangotsfield United this evening has been called off due to a waterlogged pitch.
Having had their away trip to Bishops Cleeve postponed on Saturday, Supermarine manager Dave Webb was hoping to get tonight’s game on to prevent a fixture pile-up in Southern League Division One South & West.
However, the recent heavy rain along with a drainage issue has seen the Webb’s Wood Stadium fail a pitch inspection this afternoon.
Highworth Town’s game with Highmoor Ibis in the Bluefin Sports Supplemntary Challenge Cup has also fallen foul to the elements.
Meanwhile, Shrivenham’s trip to Woodley United and New College Swindon’s game with Milton United both go ahead.
