SWINDON Ladies 2nd claimed a superb 1-0 win over relegated Frome in the West Clubs League’s Wessex Division One.
The home side were composed with smooth transfers occurring around the back from Issy Harding on the right through to Natalie Moore on the left.
Michele Harding, at the top of the D, took shot after shot that was saved by the Frome keeper and rebounded but Sue Roberts got a touch to one, although Harding claimed the effort.
Harding and Sophie Hood worked well together in central defence to keep Frome out, while debutant Rach Dobson and midfielders Helen Niblock and Kayleigh Warman all shone.
Frome put the pressure on towards the end and with 10 seconds remaining there was a break resulting in three players in the D but keeper Paige Warman cleared the effort to confirm Swindon’s win.
