SWINDON managed to grab an equaliser in the dying minutes of their home clash with Bristol UWE at Isambard School in Conference North.

The hosts came under a sustained period of pressure early on in the match before they took the lead.

Henry Cheney, returning from four weeks being side-lined with an injury, linked with Luke Cejer, who broke quickly through the midfield to play in Cheney.

He rounded the UWE keeper and slipped the ball to Tom Lentschner who smashed it home for Swindon’s opener.

The visitors went on the offensive right from the push back and it led to an equaliser after the Swindon defence failed to deal with a long aerial ball from deep in the UWE half which allowed their forward easily beat Alan Gough in the Swindon goal.

The second half saw Swindon come under more pressure, but the defence managed to repel the UWE attacks.

The hosts had the lion's share of the goal attempts, but these chances slipped away.

UWE made Swindon pay for their wastefulness in front of goal as they broke quickly to stretch the defence and take a 1-2 lead.

However, Swindon kept plugging away until they got their reward in the dying minutes when Lentschner got on the end of a Cejer pass to grab the equaliser.

This Saturday, Swindon travel to Bristol Uni.
