ROYAL Wootton Bassett’s A, B and C teams all enjoyed victories to stay top of their respective divisions in the Swindon & District League last weekend.

In Division Three at Dorcan Dome, the A team defeated Abbey Meads B 59-22, with goal attack Stacey Watson their player of the match.

A top-of-the-table clash in Division Four saw Bassett B see of Faringdon 47-32, with Banita Mudhar being their player of the match.

The Bassett C team were even more emphatic winners in Division Five, claiming a 42-17 success over Lawn E with Sharron O’Neill awarded player of the match honours for Bassett and Harriet Vizard clinching the prize for Lawn.

Back in Division One, Raychem E secured the spoils in their clash with their Lawn counterparts, goalkeeper Carly Sparrow the player of the match in a 45-23 triumph.

Goal shooter Charlotte Sunderland led Pinehurst B to a 39-20 win over Delta Reds A Lawn B overcame a slow start to defeat Nationwide B 45-22 in Division Two, with player of the match honours going to wing attack Jess Hemborough, while the C team lost out 37-32 to Croft B, despite a player of the match performance from goalkeeper Florrie Green.

In Division Three, Nationwide C wrapped up a convincing 26-18 win over Croft D, Nationwide’s Charlotte Webb being their player of the match.

Raychem E had the better of it in Division Four against Lawn D, for whom goal shooter Maddie Goode was player of the match.

Royal Wootton Bassett’s Under 12s were also winners last weekend against Fairford, Poppy Beard the player of the match in a 12-7 success.
