SWINDON Town Ladies will hope to kick start 2017 with a win after last weekend’s fixture with West Ham Ladies was postponed.

The cancellation means Steve Robertson’s side haven’t played a competitive fixture since their 3-0 defeat to Crystal Palace in mid-December.

This time around Robertson’s troops will take on high-flyers Coventry City Ladies at home in FA Women’s Premier League Southern Division (Barrington Park, Shrivenham, 2pm).

The Sky Blues will be a stern test for Swindon as they are currently second in the table with just one defeat so far this season.

Unlike Robertson’s side, Coventry were able to play last weekend as they cruised to a 4-0 home win over Milton Keynes Dons Ladies.

The hosts will do well if they are able to claim any type of result on Saturday as Coventry are on a formidable run of form.

Over the course of their last five games, they have managed to score a total of 29 goals, without conceding, including a 13-0 thumping over Redditch United back in the end of November.

Robertson will be hoping his side can claim a result as they sit precariously in ninth place, one point above basement side West Ham United Ladies, who have a total of five points so far this season, which came from one victory and two draws earlier in the campaign.
