Adver Sport’s Matt Edwards hands out his player ratings from Swindon Town’s 3-1 win at home to Gillingham this evening.

Lawrence Vigouroux: 7

Was left horribly exposed for Gillingham’s opener but his distribution was good and was hardly troubled by the visitors, until a fine save late on from Elliott List's header.

Bradley Barry: 6

Was caught out of position for Gillingham’s goal but provided a good outlet going forward for Town, with some inviting crosses.

Nathan Thompson: 8

Led by example at the back as he put in another solid performance and kept the Gillingham front line relatively quiet.

Raphael Branco: 6

Having missed two games through suspension, was slow to get up to speed and was caught out for Gillingham’s opener but atoned with a bullet header for Town’s third.

Brandon Ormonde-Ottewill: 5

Was out of sorts down the left, with his passing letting him down on too many occasions in the first half and wasn’t involved a huge amount in the second.

Rohan Ince: 8

Another showing that suggests he is better than this league as he broke up play well. Knew little about his goal but they all count.

James Brophy: 6

Enjoying the freedom that his more attacking role gives him and got at Lee Martin when he could but would have liked more end product.

Charlie Colkett: 8*

His delivery all game was on point and the two corners, despite wrestling with the flag, for the goals were sublime.

Ben Gladwin: 6

Plenty of shots and crosses from the midfield man but too many off target or not finding their desired target, much improved in the second half.

Nicky Ajose: 7

Worked tirelessly and had the chances in the first half to get himself on the scoresheet, including a couple of tasty long range efforts, which we’re not accustomed to and his lay-off for Obika’s goal was lovely.

Jonathan Obika: 7

Unlucky not to find the back of the net in the first half from yards out, but made no mistake with his finish in the second to record two goals in two outings.

Substitutes:

John Goddard (on for Brophy 58’): 6

Had the chance to mark his cameo with a goal at the back post but saw his effort blocked. Otherwise, a useful runout to replace tiring legs.

Luke Norris (on for Obika 75’): 6

Came on when the game was out of sight for Town and wasn’t really presented with any chances to make an impact.

Anton Rodgers (on for Colkett 83’): 6

Came on to add further stability to Town’s midfield alongside Ince and tried hard to close Gillingham down.
