LAWRENCE VIGOUROUX – 6

Pulled off a couple of decent saves – one notable at 0-0 – but it was not a commanding display behind a wobbly defence.

NATHAN THOMPSON – 5

Looked a little out-of-sorts at full-back in the first half but was much more comfortable when moved into the middle after the break.

RAPHAEL BRANCO – 6

Up against Charlie Wyke and although he did OK against the physical threat, the Bantams man still got two decisive goals.

DION CONROY – 5

Shaky to start with and seems too prone to a clumsy challenge. Booked.

FANKATY DABO – 4

Struggled up against the pace of the lively Marshall and looked a little exposed all too frequently. Withdrawn at the break. Booked.

ROHAN INCE – 7

Seems to come to the fore no matter what opponent Town play and ran himself into the ground yet again.

JOHN GODDARD – 6

Not easy for him when shunted out to left-wing back for the second half but did not look out of place and was a decent outlet in attack.

CHARLIE COLKETT – 5

Did not really have as big an impact on the game as Town would want and tried a spectacular pass when it was not on too often.

BEN GLADWIN – 5

Showed real drive at some points but this was not a game full of Town attacks so drifted in and out of the game. Subbed late on. Booked.

JONATHAN OBIKA – 5

Did not get a sniff of goal himself but a powerful run forward helped set up strike partner Ajose for Town’s opener.

NICKY AJOSE – 7

One chance all afternoon but he made it count to put his side ahead – just a shame they could not hold on.

Substitutes:

BRADLEY BARRY – 5

(For Dabo, 46) Introduced as Dabo was having a tough time but the Bantams continued to be a threat out wide.

LUKE NORRIS – 5

(For Gladwin, 73) Involved in Town’s goal but then fluffed a pass to Ajose as Town hunted a crucial second.

Subs not used: Will Henry, Conor Thomas, Anton Rodgers, Ellis Iandolo, Jesse Starkey.
