Adver sport reporter Matt Edwards gives out his player ratings from this afternoon’s 3-0 defeat to Charlton Athletic.

Will Henry: 6

Could do little about any of Charlton's goals but made a couple of important saves to prevent the scoreline being worse.

Fankaty Dabo: 5

Had a difficult task to handle the pace of Charlton full-back Jay Dasilva and as a result, hardly saw him as an attacking threat.

Conor Thomas: 4

Was played in the centre of defence and wore the skippers armband but he struggled, especially with the aerial threat of Josh Magennis.

Dion Conroy: 6

A mixed afternoon as he was the clear leader in the back four but also struggled with physical presence of Magennis.

James Brophy: 5

Was able to drive into the box when he got the ball down the left but was not able to do it on a regular enough basis.

Anton Rodgers: 5

A late addition to the side after Rohan Ince pulled up in the warm-up and couldn’t off the same physical presence. Went close when his free-kick struck the bar.

Charlie Colkett: 5

An afternoon where he struggled to impose himself on the game and as a result, Swindon struggled as an attacking force.

Jess Starkey: 4

A debut for the midfielder but failed to make an instant impression as he struggled for time on the ball and was lacking defensively. BOOKED

Ellis Iandolo: 6

A solid showing from the Town youngster and looked to cause the biggest threat going forward for the visitors.

Luke Norris: 5

Worked hard both with and without the ball but his attempts on goal were not good enough to trouble the scoreboard.

Islam Feruz: 4

Was absent for a lot of the game as he struggled for any kind of service. Was unfortunate to have what he thought was his first goal for the club chalked off for offside.

Subs:

John Goddard (on for Iandolo 69’): 6

Looked lively when the he came on but with the game over by that stage, could not have much impact on the closing stages, despite firing just over late on.

Jonathan Obika (on for Starkey 69’): 5

A cameo appearance in what is more than likely his last game for the club as he signed off by throwing his shirt into the crowd.

Scott Twine (on for Feruz 69’): 6

Having notched on a regular basis for the under 18s, given his moment in the latter stages and proved to be a nuisance for the Charlton defenders.
