Adver Sport assess the performances of Swindon Town's players in their 4-2 win away at Bristol Rovers in the Checkatrade Trophy.

REICE CHARLES-COOK – 7

Not a night where a flurry of shots came his way but was tidy with everything he did do and commanded his box well.

KYLE KNOYLE – 7

Just his second first-team outing for the club and will benefit hugely from the experience of seeing out a tough situation late on.

OLLY LANCASHIRE – 7

The skipper was restricted to just 45 minutes but it was another dependable performance at the back, epitomised by one gutsy block.

CHRIS ROBERTSON – 7.5

Plenty of defending to do in the closing stages and the know-how he has built up over the years was a benefit to the team.

ELLIS IANDOLO – 7

Still adapting to the position and was caught out once or twice but played his part in the strong defensive effort at the end.

KELLAN GORDON – 7.5

Got another goal to his named and made some decent forays out wide to trouble the Rovers defence.

TIMI ELSNIK – 8

Really tidy performance in the middle of the park and strung play together well. Showed no ill effects of his weekend knee injury before being withdrawn.

JOHN GODDARD – 9

A classy outing in the middle. Had already rattled the bar before scoring from the penalty spot and cut open the Rovers defence with some clever passes.

PAUL MULLIN – 8

Won the penalty and them scored himself. Another fully committed performance for a man who has played every game this season.

KAIYNE WOOLERY – 8.5

Was lively all evening and deserved the goal that came his way in the closing stages after proving a headache for the home defence throughout.

KESHI ANDERSON – 7

Seemed a little deeper than usual and still had plenty of endeavour but was not as involved as much as we have seen of late. Subbed.

Substitutes:

MATT PRESTON – 7.5

(For Lancashire, 46) Switched for the skipper at the break and led from the front in a lion-hearted display.

JAMES DUNNE – 7

(For Elsnik, 55) Added a bit more bite to the Town midfield and hassled and harried in the centre of the pitch.

DONAL MCDERMOTT – 5

(For Anderson, 62) Only on for eight minutes before injuring himself in a challenge he made. Booked.

Subs not used: Will Henry, Amine Linganzi, Harry Smith, Joe Romanski.
