SWINDON continued their winning run with a 3-1 victory against Cardiff Uni A in Conference North.

Cardiff Uni opened the scoring midway through the first half with a reverse stick strike from close range giving keeper Alan Gough no chance.

Swindon then took the ascendency with some clever passing moves.

Luke Cejer found space at the top of the D for a reverse stick shot with Thomas Gillingham redirecting it home for Swindon’s equaliser just before half-time.

Swindon upped a gear in the second half and good interplay between Jim Patrick and Chris Parsons set up Tom Wickens to fire them in front.

Composed Cejer was again the provider for Swindon’s third with a reverse stick shot from the top of the D, allowing Tom Lentschner to turn the ball home to secure the three points.

Swindon travel to Bristol UWE in their next match, before a top-of-the-table clash away at West Wilts the following week.

SWINDON Ladies stormed back after falling behind in only the third minute to record a 5-1 win at Jaspers.

The win took them top of West Clubs League Premier Division 2A.

Jaspers’ early goal fired Swindon up and minutes later great play between Chloe Lewis and Adriana Boullosa resulted in Angela Cooke smashing home a close-range shot.

Swindon then scored from a penalty corner, when the ball was slipped to Linda Brouwers, back to Lewis who hit to Boullosa and she calmly reversed it into the net.

Boullosa tipped in another penalty corner, and from a short corner in the second half, Shona O’Dwyer neatly reversed the ball to midfielder Gemma Scrase who slotted home.

Cooke wrapped it up by firing in her second goal of the match.
