SWINDON youngster Elliot Pinson made a dream return to motorcycle racing last weekend at the opening round of the 2018 Team Green Junior Cup (TGJC) at Brands Hatch in Kent.

After an injury at Oulton Park ended his 2017 season prematurely last May, the 14-year-old former 2016 Team Green Junior Cup champion’s comeback could not have gone much better.

Due to school commitments at Royal Wootton Bassett Academy, Pinson had to miss Friday’s test day so was already on the back foot and had to go straight into qualifying in the wet on Saturday. Despite this, he still managed to qualify in the middle of the front row.

Pinson went on to take a clean sweep of three wins from three in the TGJC, taking a maximum 75 points to put him 22 points clear after the opening round of the championship.

To top it off, Pinson was awarded two further prizes - the Kawasaki TGJC rider of the day and the Rod Harwin Racing BMCRC overall meeting rider of the day award.

The next round of the championship is at the Silverstone International circuit on the April 7.

Pinson is always looking for individuals and business to help support his racing career. Anyone interested in sponsoring him can contact pinson_k@yahoo.co.uk.
