SWINDON racer Elliot Pinson found the Thruxton circuit to his liking as he claimed a pair of podium finishes on his debut at the Hampshire track in the Dickies Junior Supersport Class.
The 15 year old, from Lydiard Millicent, had not competed at the track before and placed sixth in the opening practice session.
Adjustments made to his SymCirrus Motorsport Kawasaki Ninja 400 bike saw the teenager improve by more than three seconds to claim a front row grid position from qualifying and he then claimed victory in the opening race after a nine-lap, five-rider battle.
Setting the fastest lap time also gave him pole position for race two where, in a three-way scrap, he ended up in third place, his ninth podium finish of the campaign.
The next round will held at Silverstone GP circuit on September 7-9.
