SWINDON Town has announced the club will play Woking and Worthing as the League Two side's pre-season schedule continues to take shape.

Town will head to the Laithwaite Community Stadium on Tuesday, July 12 to take on National League club Woking, with a 7pm kick-off.

Swindon will then send a mixed side down to West Sussex to take on Ricky Aguiar's former club Worthing on the same day as Town's home game against Cardiff City - July 23.

Town played Woking in a pre-season friendly back in 2016, with players such as Ellis Iandolo, Yaser Kasim, and Nathan Thompson featuring in a 3-1 defeat for Luke Williams' men.

The pair of confirmed non-league friendlies take Swindon's number of warm-up matches to six.

The Wiltshire side begin their upcoming pre-season schedule away at Melksham Town before heading to neighbours Swindon Supermarine a week later.

The Woking fixture continues the list of games which broadly becomes more difficult as it goes on.

An away game against Eastleigh, a home fixture with Championship club Cardiff City, and a trip to Worthing currently rounds off the schedule.

Despite having no director of football and uncertainty raging over Ben Garner's position as head coach, Swindon are expected to add more ties to their summer schedule, with tickets for the confirmed fixtures going on sale and prices announced in due course.
