WILDCATS coach Peter Russell wants his side to come out all guns blazing against Premier League Cup champions Bracknell Bees.

Russell admits Cats must take each game as it comes but says his troops will go for broke in a bid to book a place at the play-off finals weekend in Coventry.

Drawn in a group including Bracknell, league runners-up Slough and Milton Keynes, Russell believes Cats will have their work cut out to qualify for the finals.

However, despite dubbing the group as the hardest of the two play-off draws, he believes Cats should be scared of no-one.

"We will go for it," said Russell. "We will take it one game at a time but we are going to have a go. There is no point sitting back we must go all out to win and cannot afford to hold back.

"Realistically you have to win four games to qualify for the finals weekend but we cannot set targets. We will just take each game as it comes and try to win as many as we can.

"Some have said our group is the easier of the two but it is not. It is a very hard group but we have a good squad and if we play to our peak then we can do well. I just hope we can play to our peak though."

Cats begin their play-off campaign with a double-header against Bracknell - at home tomorrow and away on Sunday. And with a better than decent head-to-head record against the Bees, Russell claims confidence is high going into the clash.

"We have a good record against Bracknell. I think we have won three times against them and have beaten them on their ice too," Russell added. "The encounters are always close affairs so we are not scared, we go into the clash with confidence."

Swindon will be boosted by the return of injured duo John Wheaton and Tomas Janak but Matty Davies has lost his fight to be fit for the clash, while Jamie Hayes is on international duty.

Russell however, is pleased with the roster he has available to him, adding: "We have John Wheaton and Tomas Janak back which is a big boost.

"But not having Matty Davies is a big blow, we miss him because he scores so many points. But we have a big squad and we can cope.

"We will change a few things around and we intend to hit more and be really up for these games. We have to take our chances, that is the key, if we do we have a great chance."

Face-off for tomorrow's clash at the Link Centre is at 5.45pm while the return at Bracknell on Sunday starts at 6pm.
