TIGERSHARKS have four representatives travelling to Sheffield in search of an Olympic place.

Dean Williamson, 16, Jazmin Carlin, 17, and Sophie Hawkins, 15, will compete, while ex-Tigershark Grant Turner, 19, who now swims out of Loughborough University, also participates.

Turner has spent the past two years on a scholarship at the Gold Coast swimming academy in Australia, and made the finals in the recent European Long Course Championships in Eindhoven.

While Carlin travelled down under to compete in the 2006 Commonwealth Games, aged just 15.

On Monday, Turner and Williamson will compete in the 400m frontcrawl, with Hawkins in the 100m frontcrawl.

Tuesday will see Carlin and Turner both race in the frontcrawl category, in 400m and 50m respectively, while Williamson and Turner will go head-to-head in the 200m frontcrawl on Wednesday.

On Thursday, Carlin goes for glory in the 800m frontcrawl, with Williamson participating in the 100m butterfly.

Turner is the sole swimmer next Friday in the 50m frontcrawl, with Williamson (200m butterfly) and Carlin (200m frontcrawl) competing next Saturday.

Swindon-born Hannah Miley, the reigning British 400m individual medley champion, is also competing in Sheffield.
