JUBILANT Alun Rossiter watched his young guns come back from the dead for a priceless Elite League away win in front of the Sky Sports cameras at Ipswich last night and roared: "That's what this side is all about.'' Swindon, trailing by 10 points just four races in, turned the meeting on its head to run out 50-43 winners in front of a stunned Foxhall Stadium and took their place at joint top of the early-season table.
Skipper Leigh Adams (17 points) and in-form Mads Korneliussen (paid 11) led the charge, but it was the performance of the youngsters that had Rosco purring afterwards.
Guest reserve Joel Parsons also added a superb paid 11, while James Wright and Troy Batchelor contributed crucial points.
"At 10 points down, last year's team would have crumbled, no question,'' said Rossiter.
"But you only have to see the young spirit in the camp this year.
"After four heats, I was worried, to be honest.
"I didn't expect to be so far down, but James Wright's win in heat eight was a turning point.
"It was a brilliant ride and so important for us.''
