THE Abbey Stadium great escape may have left most Robins' fans feeling they had more than their money's worth on Thursday night - but for Mads Korneliussen it was definitely a case of feeling short-changed.

Swindon's great Dane was forced to sit out the Ipswich thriller through injury but, after a more than uncomfortable weekend, he is determined to help Robins continue making their point at Belle Vue tonight.

The Robins came back from the brink to snatch a draw in Thursday's Elite League meeting with Ipswich, to preserve an almost two-year unbeaten home record, but Korneliussen believes the side's post-match reaction proved there is more to come.

Troy Batchelor's nerveless final heat win, followed in by the ever-perfect Leigh Adams, had the Abbey faithful roaring their relief but for Korneliussen it was tinged with disappointment.

He said: "It was frustrating to watch. Everyone did their best but a draw is not a win and we want the win.

"I suppose that shows the mentality we have got this year. I guess we would have been cheering that point in some other years but we still see it as a point dropped.

"We came back from the impossible. We knew we had to do something special and I suppose we did that in the end. Still we want to win every meeting and believe we can."

Robins travel to Manchester tonight buoyed by their first away win of the season at Ipswich last Monday with Korneliussen insisting he will be back in the leathers.

Cory Gathercole continues in place of injured Dutchman Theo Pijper, while Aussie Travis McGowan will be desperate to start showing signs of hitting top form.

Korneliussen said: "I suppose it is frightening that not everyone is firing at the moment. It will come, in a couple of weeks everyone will fire and there are real big things ahead. I do believe that honestly.

"My legs, backside, lower back and shoulders were all really sore but I am sure it has been sorted over the weekend.

"I think it did me good to miss out on Thursday night so I could be fully ready for Belle Vue on Monday. I got T-Boned by Chris Harris while riding for Poole and went straight into the fence. My bike lifted up and broke. It was a big crash that hurt my legs and my backside, shoulders.

"I think my chances of riding are really good unless there is any late reaction."
