ALUN Rossiter insists Monday's spectacular nine-point success at Belle Vue Aces will count for nothing if Swindon fail to capitalise with another victory at home to Wolverhampton tonight.
Rosco's Robins soared to the top of the Elite League table with a 51-42 triumph at Kirkmanshulme Lane, their second away win in succession.
With home meetings against Wolves and Eastbourne to come in the next four days, Rossiter believes his Swindon side could lay down a marker for the rest of the season.
He said: "Nobody gave us a cat in hell's chance at Belle Vue. The experts said we would lose by 10 points.
"But to see Belle Vue use a tactical ride on their own track just goes to show how well we performed.
"Now we have to make sure we capitalise on that with the two home meetings.
"We've been a little bit disappointing the last couple of meetings but that's because we didn't have Mads.
"Now he's back and the boys should be full of confidence to take into this week."
With the injured Theo Pijper still receiving treatment in his native Holland, Robins have enlisted the services of Reading's Tomas Suchanek as a guest rider for tonight's meeting.
The former World Under-21 runner-up steps in because Cory Gathercole is away riding for the Isle of Wight at Sheffield.
Swindon-based Suchanek netted 8+1 points for the Racers in Monday's convincing 54-39 Premier League success over Workington at Smallmead, and Rosco believes the Czech rider could prove to be a valuable replacement.
He said: "Tomas is used to big, fast tracks in Europe so hopefully he will go well around Blunsdon. If he gets out of the gate I think he will be very hard to pass.
"Wolves will be tough because they have some excellent riders.
"I'm a big fan of Freddie Lindgren and Niels-Kristian Iversen.
"Iversen got his first 15-point haul on Monday so he will be in brilliant mood.
"But like Leigh Adams they have both got the Grand Prix this weekend, so maybe they will have one eye on that.
"They are both professional riders and I'm sure it won't affect them, but I know it certainly won't affect Leigh.
"He is the ultimate professional and will be focussing all his efforts on getting another league win for Swindon."
