Concrete for breakfast anyone?

SPEEDWAY author Jeff Scott will be promoting his new book at Robins' Knockout Cup quarter-final second leg clash against Poole Pirates next Thursday (June 19).

Scott, the writer-in-residence at both Eastbourne and Reading speedway clubs, will be at Blunsdon to launch Concrete For Breakfast', which includes nine chapters featuring Swindon Speedway.

The volume is a follow-up to his successful Showered in Shale' publication, celebrating the romance of the sport, the bravery of its competitors, and the idiosyncrasies of its partisans on and off the track.

It is available at track shops and also can be ordered via paypal at www.methanolpress.com or send a £24.50 cheque (including P&P) made payable to J Scott at Methanol Press, 2 Tidy Street, Brighton BN1 4EL.
