ATHLETICS
LETHBRIDGE Primary School took the honours as youngsters from seven primary schools across the county took part in the second Wiltshire QuadKids festival.
The event at the County Ground athletics track saw teams of four boys and four girls compete over two hours for a place in the final of the Wiltshire Youth Games on Thursday, July 3.
Each athlete took part in four events - a 75-metre sprint, standing long jump, vortex throw and a 600-metre race - and points were awarded for each result to give each athlete and school a total.
The competition was won by Lethbridge Primary A, with a team score of 1,514, more than 1,000 points ahead of their closest challengers, Chiseldon Primary.
Lethbridge Primary B and Ruskin Junior One were third and fourth respectively and the four teams progress to the final of the Wiltshire Youth Games next month.
