SOFIENE Zaaboub will be returning to the County Ground next season after signing for League One rivals Walsall.

The former Town winger was released from the County Ground this summer and, with a host of clubs chasing his signature, he has opted for the Midlands outfit.

Zaaboub was brought to Wiltshire by Paul Sturrock but struggled to impress new boss Maurice Malpas.

Nice and negative there juttystfc.....

Did you know that we have now sold more season tickets than at any time in the last 15 years ?

If and when we get to 4,500 tickets that will be our best in 25 years (apart from our 1 Premier season) ??

Unfortunately if we do not hit 6,000 I am sure you will say it is a failure....

The fact is it is already a HUGE success....

The negativity that some post on here is getting beyond a joke, Josh Low can not be as bad as Ricky Shakes,Fola Onibuje,David Duke etc who would you like too see sign for the town ? without breaking the wage structure and who would realistic drop to 3rd division football, I certainly do not want to watch some ex Prem prima dona has been in his late 30's being paid
4 times as much as the next player just to entice a few stay aways to the CG

A big loss to our club, Vincent (or Mulgrew) will have to be at his(their) best to stop him.
O.K he was a little tempramental but thats not a big issue and many good players are inconsistant, just look at "The Don" he wasn't brilliant all the time but no one critiscised.
Good luck Zabooooob but I hope you are rubbish against us...........twice!

Sofi was too inconsistent for our soon to be promoted team ;-)

Inconsistant he may have been but given the choice between Roberts, McGovern or Zaboub then it'll be Zaboub every time. Sofie was far classier than the other two.

I think you'll find he'll be coming up against Amankwaah more than Vincent or Mulgrew

Spot on OldTown mr fittin has done a fantastic job by encouraging that many people to buy season tickets.

On a transfer note i think people are forgetting we are in the 3rd division,So attracting player's will not be easy.

Not a good example to pick Tractorboy. Don was as close to being brilliant all the time as any player i've ever seem play for us. On the odd occasion he wasn't at his best he still had a couple of opposing defenders tracking him everywhere and freeing up space for our other strikers.
I can only remember one defender ever getting the better of him through a whole match, that was Paul Reaney of Leeds.

I don't know why people are saying "out of JPM and Roberts" as they are right sided - Zaaboub was left sided - so answer me this who would you pick Zaaboub or McNamee?

I know which I would and he is a current STFC player.

good luck to him, not a bad player when he pulled his finger out.

No exactly 100% certain that Zaaboub will be picked is it? Given the inconsistent nature of his spell here, it'd be a matter of whether he got out of the bed the right side that decides it.

...or if he can find his favourite pair of gloves

Zaaboub is a league 2 player, and is to inconsistent and never really performed well enough in league 1 and no wonder he was out of favour with malpas when we have got mcnamee!!

Why? Explain your comment with a reasoned argument and someone might take you seriously.

Why would we want to keep an inconsistent player, who couldn't get the ball without trying to show off, then go falling over and lose possesion?

And would he have got picked? Realisticly, no...Not with McNamee here and with Malpas looking to strengthen that area to give McNamee a proper fight for his place its unlikely.
