FOUR goals from Mark Trowbridge and a hat-trick from Christion Bailey put Southgate on the road to an impressive 10-1 win against Mercedes Benz, keeping them in the Swindon Sunday League Division Eight promotion race.
David O’Driscoll, Damien Debano and Tully O’Rourke also found the net.
Phoenix Knights’ narrow 2-1 win against Swindon Eurostars kept them in second spot.
Rodbourne Real stay third following a 4-3 win against Nationwide.
DIVISION ONE Sunday Merlin’s 3-1 win against GW Nalgo lifted them of the bottom, thanks to a Chris Cox brace and Stuart Hemsley’s penalty.
Penhill United got back to winning ways with a 4-0 win against Pewsey Saints.
DIVISION TWO kmlc Dolphin have opened up a nine-point lead at the top after their 5-1 win over Windmill, thanks in the main to a James McGahey hat-trick and one apiece from Ash Piotrowski and Bradley Gill.
Shield & Dagger hit bottom club Lava Lounge for nine with a treble from Louis Cunningham, plus two from Carl Murdoch and one each from Mike Colburn, Bradley Clark, Neil Lee and Robert Cunningham.
Nine Elms and Coleshill fought out a 5-5 draw, Elms’ goals coming from Warren and Russell Fuller, Marcus Hall, Ally Ward and Phil Mcdonough.
DIVISION THREE The top clash between Dynamo Ashton and Intermach saw Inter come out on top 5-3, thanks to a John Holllis treble ond one each from James Winton and Will Smith.
Ashton’s replies came from Chris Gallavin, Martin Curtis and Wayne Savory DIVISION FOUR Village Inn jumped into the leading pack with a 5-0 win over Rodbourne Arms with a brace from Ryan Philips and one apiece from Mike Povey, Anthony McCluskey and Danny Broadbank.
DIVISION FIVE AN Andy Phillpott hat-trick and one each from Ally Ward and Jamie Hall gave County Ground their second win of the season.
Bear Marlborough’s scorers in their 6-2 win against White Hart were Steve Dean and lee Bicknell (two each), Chris Dean and Chris Hallett.
DIVISION SIX Bridlewood dented Freestylers’ title hopes with a 4-3 win, Mark Burtenshaw’s treble and one from Sam Willard doing the damage.
The Regent go marching on at the top following an impressive 5-2 win against Swindon City, courtesy of strikes from Neil White, Sam Chichester, Alan Webb, Ollie Sly and Steven Cue.
The Farm took over third spot after their 4-2 win against Lamb Marlborough.

Patheon’s stuttering season continues as strikes from Mike Wallis and Peter Wilson could not stop them going down 3-2 to Thamesdown, whose scorers were Richard Jordan, Matt Kieley and Anthony Byrne.
