JONATHON Guy carded a magnificent level par round of 71 to clinch the Division One prize in Broome Manor’s June Medal.
The nine-handicapper claimed a three-shot victory from seven-handicapper Ross Gillett, whose 72 was enough for a nett 65.
Derek Brooks claimed the Division Two prize, his gross 82 with a 17 handicap (nett 65) giving him the crown by one from Stephen Arnell (80-14=66).
In Division Three, Philip White (22) shot 90 for a nett 68 and a one-shot success over Lee Gillett (97-28=69).
In Broome Manor’s club mixed greensomes, the winners were Cath and Paul Simmonds with a resounding 44 stableford points The winners go forward to play in the regional qualifier of the Bader Cup - charitable organisation founded by Douglas Bader the World War Two pilot. They were followed, with 43 by Pat Treacy and Mike Hart
- SIMON May became South Cerney’s men’s club champion with a comfortable eight-shot success in changeable conditions.
May opened with a first round 76, but bettered than by eight shots second time out for an aggregate 144, well clear of second-placed Ryan Hayward (82+70=152).
The nett title went to David Mallows (61+64=125), with Craig Sutherland (62+64=136) next.
Annie Lawton became the ladies champion after shooting a nett 71, two clear of Christine Mitchell (73).
The junior title went to Harry Keates, whose aggregate 151 (75, 76) left him well ahead of Jason Keen (79+78=157).
Mitchell Caunt was the nett event winner with 127 (62+65), ahead of James Moorcroft (68+64=132).
