SWINDON TOWN: O'Brien signs for Town
5:55pm Monday 6th July 2009 in
TOWN boss Danny Wilson has snapped up his latest summer signing in the form of ex-Newcastle winger Alan O'Brien.
The 24-year-old Republic of Ireland international has been tracked by a host of League One clubs since he was released by Hibernian at the end of last season, but Wilson has swooped quickest for the pacy wideman.
The Town chief has spoken recently of the need for versatility in new signings, and O'Brien fits the bill, as he can play either flank or through the middle.
