ROVERS v TOWN: Swindon unchanged for derby clash

DANNY Wilson has named an unchanged line-up yet again as Swindon go in search of a fifth consecutive League One win at Bristol Rovers this afternoon.

It means the in-form strike pairing of Charlie Austin and Billy Paynter get another chance to impress and hopefully gun down Town's local rivals.

Alan O'Brien is named among the substitutes again as he continues his rehabilitation from a hamstring tear, while there is also a welcome return for Lloyd Macklin, who takes his place on the bench having fractured his leg at Brentford earlier in the season.

Rovers make three alterations to their starting line-up, with Pat Baldwin, Aaron Lescott and Andy Williams replacing Danny Coles, Dominic Blizzard and Darryl Duffy.

ROVERS (4-4-2): Mikkel Andersen; Carl Regan, Steve Elliott, Pat Baldwin, Aaron Lescott; Mark Wright, Chris Lines, Stuart Campbell (c), Jeff Hughes; Andy Williams, Jo Kuffour

Subs: Rhys Evans, Byron Anthony, Dominic Blizzard, Charlie Reece, Ben Swallow, Darryl Duffy, Chris Dickson

TOWN (4-4-2): David Lucas; Kevin Amankwaah, Scott Cuthbert, Gordon Greer (c), Lecsinel Jean-Francois; Jon-Paul McGovern, Simon Ferry, Jonathan Douglas, Alan Sheehan; Billy Paynter, Charlie Austin

Subs: Phil Smith, Michael Timlin, Alan O'Brien, Lloyd Macklin, Lee Peacock, Alex Revell, Danny Ward

17:21 - Billy Paynter takes a shot. Save by David Lucas......this really confused me, but would explain why it's 0-2 already :-)
Doesn't sound like we're short of attacking play, but 2 shots on target and two goals for them didn't look good.
Come on Town - get a goal back now and game is back on.

Down to earth time - hopefully a game of 2 halves but I doubt it.
Every now again we are bound to have a bad game - would have to be this one.

Inky - You took the words right out of my mouth...seems like we could have been 1up before their first and hitting the post at 0-2......you never know....0-3 to 3-3 has been done before......but like you think we're getting a firm reminder to focus on defending first!...ouch!!

"Memorial pitch no problem" said DW! Well maybe the pitch ain't but there's definately a problem so far today. RIP town for today anyway. Still, resurrections are miracles!

Well its game over I would say. Paynter on the other hand should have had two possibly three goals in the first half. Ah well can,t win em all but interesting to see what Danny does next, just as well loose 5-0 and go all out 4 up front I say. Rovers have done all the damage down the left which raises the issue over LJF who seems to stuggle away from home and struggles with pressure. Sheehan needs to go to left back and we need to go all out second half

Swindon 3-0 up to Leicester rings a bell.....but this time we'll score the deciding penalty!

JFL replaced at half time with Sheehan and Obrien is on. Danny needs to realise that JFL is no good at left back. He cannot defend under pressure and although is better at home he still gets caught out. Damage done now so its on to Brighton next.
Blimey Obrien has just missed a sitter and Charlie boy has been taken off Ward is on.

Still very poor just one chance second half which was missed by Obrien. Rovers are giving us a very hard lesson in who's the best in the west and are still causing us problems in the second half and have even hit the bar. Very bad day at the office.

3-0 and damage done first half LJF was the weakest link Danny you need to recognise the fact that our left back struggles away especially. Just glad you have Sheehan. Lets not Dwell and move onto the Brighton game.

Agreed, every team has a bad day from time to time but it will be a great test to see how Danny can get the players to react off the back of this game. We're a quality team and need to remember that and do the business next time for all 3 points! :-)
