IN THE Sunday League Knockout Cup, holders Greyhound progressed into the next round with an 11-0 drubbing of Dynamo Ashton.

Dorcan Old Boys and DBS fought out a 5-5 thriller, with DBS going through 5-4 on penalties.

Coleview beat Shield & Dagger 2-1 courtesy of strikes from Dave Levett and Jordon Cobb Cricklade’s Matt Richards bagged a brace but could not prevent his side falling to a 4-2 home defeat against Roughmoor Rangers, for whom Mark Loveridge (2), Brian Hilligan and Daniel Jones got on the scoresheet.

AFC Gas cruised to a 5-0 win against Walcot, with two apiece coming from Mark Bennett and Daniel Drewitt and one from Dan Killgary.

West Swindon Wanderers thumped Rug Shack 7-1. Chris Cummins and Lee Robins managed two each for Wanderers, whilst Alex Sheriffs, Andy Woodman and Mark Wells also registered.

New Century edged a seven-goal nail-biter against Coleshill 4-3. Matt Pratley (2), Ryan Pratley and Tom Valentine ensured progress to the next round of the competition.

Village Inn got the better of Blyskawica 6-4 thanks to braces from Chris Dixon, Luke Broadbank and Danny Broadbank.

Deers Leap eased through to the next stage following their 2-0 home victory over Wheatsheaf, Richard Smith scoring both.

Patheon enjoyed their run out against Pot of Gold, finding the net eight times. Tony Cutting fired a hat-trick, Craig Sawyer and Aaron Hall got two each and Andy King also scored.

Inter Sandgate fell at the first hurdle, losing out 4-1 at McLean Heating, for whom Ashley Gooch, James Hogg, Aiden Williams and Ross Worthington struck.

Rodbourne sneaked past SC Ferndale 3-2 away from home after Mike Lenard, Ashley Taylor and Joe Casterton all found the back of the net.

Wanborough put 11 past AFC Southside as Mark Brimson and Craig Bibby both hit hat-tricks. Micky Newman, Tom Aldred, Pete Best and Lee Carhart also scored for Wanborough, whilst an own goal only rubbed salt into Southside’s wounds.

Nythe saw off Intermach 5-2 on the road with goals coming from Darren Lucas, Adam West, Steve Chappel, Lee Hedges and Darren Colman.

Trak Employment hammered Nationwide 9-1.
