TREGOZE Primary School hockey team have been crowned Wiltshire champions.
Having qualified for the Wiltshire county finals after winning the Swindon tournament, the year 5/6 side took on the county’s top schools at Chippenham Hockey Club.
Tregoze started the competition in solid fashion with a well-earned draw and then followed this up with three back-to-back wins to earn themselves a deserved place in the final.
In the final, Tregoze continued to play good hockey as a team and with Toby Kutassy always a danger upfront and Callum Bradley superb in goal, it allowed player of the tournament Chloe Lewis to take control of the match and drive the Tregoze team to victory.
Team manager, Bev Lewis said: “It was an excellent day and all the children did themselves proud.
“It will certainly be a day remembered for a very long time by all those involved.”
