THE PAOLO DI CANIO COLUMN: The Redknapp verdict

I am very happy my old manager Harry Redknapp was found not guilty in his trial and that he can carry on doing his job at Tottenham.
It is difficult because some situations can push you because everyone is looking at you.
He can now stand on the pitch and do his job and everyone will know he is not guilty and that he is right.
For this I am very happy because he can go back to his family because he is a terrific person as I have known him many years. He was very good to me and we had some success together which was a very good moment in my football career.
Harry and I had some beautiful times together even though we argued a lot of times.
He was a brilliant manager and we still talk about each other very well now and we have no regrets against each other. We still love each other even though we had some hard confrontations, and that we worked together very well and did very well for our team.
I am glad he is doing very well at Tottenham because he deserves it because he works hard and I hope he carries on and can maybe win the league.

Spurs fans will be worried as they still have an outside chance of winning the Prem title, and at least a good shout at the Champs league next season. Could they do it without 'arry?
TBH I think Capello should have been shown the door after that debacle in South Africa, but he wasn't. 'arry should have taken over then and given time to build a squad for this Euro Championship.
John Terry could have avoided all this though if he had stood down himself as captain. He could have still maintained his innocence while standing down before the trial. If and when he had been found innocent he could have regained the armband - all be it after the Championship when a new manager would have taken over anyway.
The FA were wrong in my view, sacking Terry over Capellos head. Capello for his part shouldn't have spoken to the Italian press without first confronting the FA.
Too many intrenched positions taken which could only have ended with Capello being sacked of his resignation.
All in all a right 'muggers buddle', but would we expect anything different fron the FA in all honesty?!
