SWINDON TOWN: Town fixture list announced

SWINDON Town’s fixture list for the 2012/13 League One campaign was released this morning.

The Robins’ season is bookended by two long away trips - firstly to Hartlepool on the opening day of the league term and then to Scunthorpe on the final afternoon.

A visit to Leyton Orient’s Matchroom Stadium awaits on Boxing Day, while the arrival of Portsmouth at the County Ground on New Year’s Day presents an enticing prospect.

Other notable away days include trips to Preston on September 1, Pompey on September 18, Bournemouth on January 12, Coventry on March 2, Brentford on March 12 and Sheffield United on April 13.
