BRADFORD on Avon's Ed McKeever cruised into the fiinal of the Olympic K1 200m canoe sprint event at Eton Dorney this morning.
The 28-year-old, tipped as a potential British gold medallist, won both his heat and semi-final.
McKeever clocked 35.619 in the semi to finish ahead of France's Maxime Beaumont and Hungary's Miklos Dudas.
In the first heat, McKeever clocked a new Olympic best of 35.087.
McKeever's time was the fastest of all three morning heats, with Serbia's Marko Novakovic second and Dudas third.
