SPEEDWAY RESULT: Swindon Robins 51 Coventry Bees 39

SWINDON Robins returned to the top of the Elite League with a 51-39 victory over Coventry this evening.
A rain shower just before the meeting made things difficult for both sets of riders, but the Robins ploughed through and had Jason Doyle and Peter Kildemand to thank for another impressive victory.
The Robins are now two points clear of Poole having raced the same number of meetings.
ROBINS: Rory Schlein (2-3-3-FX) 8; Simon Stead (0-1-2') 3+1; Peter Kildemand (2'-0-3-3-3) 11+1; Jason Doyle (3-2-FX-3-2') 10+1; Troy Batchelor (2-3-3-FX) 8; Nick Morris (FX-1-1) 2;
Dawid Lampart (3-1'-3-1-1-FX) 9+1.
BEES: Chris Harris (3-3-4^-3-FX) 13; Adam Roynon (1-1-0) 2; Edward Kennett (0-2-2-2-1) 7; Kenni Larsen (1-FX-0) 1; Scott Nicholls (3-2-2-2'-1) 10+1; Leigh Lanham (FX-0-1'-0) 1+1; Michal Szczepaniak(2-0-1-2) 5.
Heat One: Harris, Schlein, Roynon, Stead. 66.94 (2-4)
Both Robins make the gate to lead coming out of turn one but are passed by Harris who wins. Roynon and Stead both hit the deck but get upto race it out for the final point.
Heat Two: Lampart, Szczepaniak, Lanham FX, Morris FX. (5-6)
Morris goes into the corner too fast and hits the fence while Lanham packs up. Lampart eases round to beat Szczepaniak.
Heat Three: Doyle, Kildemand, Larsen, Kennett. 68.39 (10-7)
The Robins pair win from the gate, but struggle coming out of turn four, which looks especially wet.
Heat Four: Nicholls, Batchelor, Lampart Szczepaniak. 68.52 (13-10)
Nicholls passes both Batchelor and Lampart to take the win, after the Robins slip up on the troublesome turn four.
Heat Five: Harris, Doyle, Roynon, Kildemand. 67.09 (15-14)
Harris takes an easy win, but the track is looking better.
Heat Six: Schlein, Nicholls, Stead, Lanham. 68.24 (19-16)
Schlein wins from the tapes, Stead chases Nicholls up the inside but can’t find a way through.
Heat Seven: (re-run) Batchelor, Kennett, Morris, Larsen FX. 68.15 (23-18)
Morris is pushed into the fence by Larsen, and after the Dane is excluded Batchelor passes Kennett for the win.
Heat Eight: L ampart, Stead, Szczepaniak, Roynon. 69.02 (28-19)
Both Robins riders pop out of the gate for an easy win. Great team riding as the Bees don’t get a sniff.
Heat Nine: (Re-run): Kildemand, Nicholls, Lanham, DoyleFX. 68.33 (31-22)
Kildemand makes a flyer and is pulled back, but wins the re-run with an electric start again. Doyle looks quick but falls while chasing Nicholls.
Heat 10: Schlein, Kennett, Lampart, Larsen. 68.21 (34-25)
Schlein wins from the gate
Heat 11: (re-run ) Batchelor, Harris (tactical), Morris, Roynon. 68.12 (38-29)
Roynon is taken to hospital after hitting the fence, and in the re-run Batchelor superbly beats Harris who was on a tactical ride.
Heat 12 (re-run): Kildemand, Kennett, Lampart, Szczepaniak. 68.99 (43-30)
Kennett goes down in the first bend, and with all four called back Kildemand storms to success.
Heat 13: (re-run): Harris, Nicholls Schlein FX, Batchelor FX. (awarded) (43-35)
Batchelor falls forcing Schlein to lay his bike down, but the Aussie appear to be out cold. He takes his place in the re-run only to fall again. 5-0 Bees.
Heat 14: (re-run x2) Doyle, Szczepaniak, Larsen, Lampart. 69.52 (46-38)
In the second re-staging of heat 14 Lampart and Doyle tangled with the Pole hitting the deck, but by staying down he allowed Doyle to win the re-run.
Heat 15: Kildemand, Doyle, Nicholls, Harris FX. 68.55 (51-39).
Harris falls going into the second lap and the Robins duo secure all three points in style.
