NORTH BERKS LEAGUE: Coleshill begin with fine win

PROMOTED Coleshill began life in Division Two of the North Berks League in positive fashion with a 3-1 win at home to Lambourn Sports Reserves.

Richard Evans struck twice alongside a Brian Ferris effort, while Craig Butler replied for Lambourn.

In Division One, Robbie Harrington and Dan Hoskins struck for Faringdon Town in their 2-1 home win over Long Wittenham Athletic, for whom Mike Saunders scored.

Faringdon Town Reserves were a goal down to Milton United Reserves early on after Pat Walsh netted. But goals from Dave Cole, Jason Evans and Dan Oyston gave them a 3-1 victory in the Division Three clash.

Faringdon Town A were crushed 8-1 by Berinsfield Reserves in Division Five with Lee Quegan getting a consolation.

John Welch (3), Mennan Calvo (2), Andie Sampson (2) and John Boal did the damage for Berinsfield.
