SWINDON TOWN: Williams and McCormack out of Coventry clash

PAOLO Di Canio has confirmed that Andy Williams could be out for as long as a month through injury, while Alan McCormack will not be available to the Swindon Town manager for the visit of Coventry this weekend.

Williams hobbled off at half-time in the 1-0 victory with Bury on Saturday with a calf problem and the results of a scan have revealed that it could take some time for the former Yeovil frontman to regain full fitness.

Meanwhile, captain McCormack continues to struggle with a hamstring complaint and will sit out the clash with the Sky Blues.

However, there is positive news for Town, as Di Canio revealed that winger Gary Roberts could well return to the matchday squad against Coventry.

“Alan no but Gary tomorrow will join the group again full-time and we will see gradually," he said.

"I don’t want to say yes completely, but why not. We will see tomorrow.

“Today he forced a bit more, didn’t feel any reaction and delivered the ball well but tomorrow is important.

"Andy Williams is one month at least."
