JEREMY Wray is to be replaced as chairman of Swindon Town, the Advertiser understands.

Wray has carried out the role since Andrew Fitton’s resignation in April last year.

The club are believed to have already lined up his replacement.

OMG not the news I expected to wake up to this morning. So many questions flying through my head.... Why? What's this mean for investment in the club? What about Paolo? ........

shocked at this to cant belive this i think pdc new something on saturday as he was saying what a great chairman j wray is and the best chairman a manager can have. good luck for future j wray and thank you for all your hard work.

Chairman are often ignored by fans but not this one he has been very good for STFC in my book. Very sad that he is going.

Thank you Jeremy , you have been the best of chairmen.

I view this news with trepidation, I just hope it doesn't have a knock on effect .
The burning question is will Di Canio review his position with STFC ? Paolo please don't have any knee jerk reaction and quit as manager. You have done well in your first managerial role, please stay and see the job through.
I'm sure the board want to see the plan through and get the ground developed and get us in the championship, but I'm struggling to come to terms with this news.
Did the board and J,W fall out over the embargo ? was there fall out over J.W a nd P.D.C asking for more money to get us back into the 65% bracket ?

If P.D.C goes because of this then the fall out would be massive. No one person is bigger than any club but many have come back to STFC because of Di Canio and his great working enviroment with J.W and the board backing both of them.
I urge P.D.C to honour his contract and see the 3 year plan through.

Unbelievable unless it is Wray's own choice. The very best Chairman imaginable and one who worked so well with Paolo - I don't think many other Chairmen could or would. Shellshocked - he is an essential part of our club. Hope he stays on but totally bewildered by this turn of events. If it was other idiots on the board getting rid of him then heaven help us. A black day.

Wray certainlyhas been the best chairman in my 40 plus years of following the Town but what is to say the new guy is not better?
I hope and am sure this situation has been thought through.

PDC & JW - great combination of skills to get STFC to this position - very tough act to follow especially with current transfer embargo issue and impact to PDC plans..

JW is the only chairman i know that could communicate with the fans and i am sure most of us felt at home with him.
His apparent openess and honesty was refreshing.

If he did not i can see real problems as i am sure PDC would not like this being done without him knowing.
