SWINDON ROBINS: Deputy Seb still cool

STAND-IN Swede Seb Alden will not feel under any extra pressure when he once again replaces Jason Doyle for tonight’s second leg at Poole.
Doyle was part of the Pirates side which won the league last season, although he missed the final through injury, and lightning has struck twice for the Australian after he was ruled out of this year’s showpiece after breaking a bone in his neck in Sunday’s Premier League Riders Championship.
Doyle was expected to make a significant contribution at his former track this evening, but Alden proved himself a capable deputy with 8+2 in the first leg, and is keen to take his chance at Wimborne Road.
“I have not been there for a couple of years but the last time I was there I quite liked it,” he said.
“Jason was a great rider for Poole but I just want to score as many points as I can in his place and I know seven points are going to be enough for us.
“Sometimes you think about it too much and it can cause you some problems, I was not happy with crashing in heat 14 on Monday but that is the way it is, so I want to do well at Poole.”
