SWINDON Manor and Westlecot are both back in action tomorrow in the men’s Wessex League.

Manor, newcomers to the East Region of the indoor league, failed to make a winning debut in the competition a fortnight ago.

Despite a very promising start, leading Banbury Cross at halfway, they fell away in the latter stages of the match and lost 100-71.

Manor will be looking for a change in fortunes tomorrow when they face Oxford City and County, and make six changes to that side that lost in their opener against Banbury.

In sharp contrast, Westlecot finished their opening match of the 2014/15 campaign strongly two weeks ago, winning on all four rinks against Chipping Norton and taking a maximum 16 points.

They face a much tougher game tomorrow when they meet Basingstoke-based Loddon Vale, who were the surprise winners of the East Section last term.

Westlecot, owing to unavailability and a few players competing in the PlanetBowls.com Herga Open Singles tournament over the weekend in Harrow, West London, also make six changes to their league line-up from the first match.

Smith, Mike Bowden, Ian Williams & Dave Snell. Rink 2: John Thomas, Dave Matthews, Mike Shawyer & James Nobbs.
