WILTSHIRE men, under the stewardship of president Richard Gardiner (Supermarine), picked up two wins out of three in their latest games.

Wiltshire drew the first against Hertfordshire 116-116 at Wroughton and edged home in the game against Dorset at Devizes by eight shots.

In between, Wiltshire played the annual game against the president’s home club running out convincing winners against Supermarine 132-100.

After the game Supermarine chairman Stuart Weston made a special presentation of an engraved glass plaque to Richard Gardiner and his wife Iris.

DATES have been announced for the end of season play-offs to crown the 2015 Wiltshire Four Rink League champions.

Highworth, runaway winners in Area A having impressively won all 20 of their group matches, will meet Area B runners-up Spencer Moulton on Saturday, August 23 (10.30am) – two rinks home and two rinks away.

Swindon West End, who won 16 of their matches to finish as runners-up to Highworth, face Area C runaway winners Holt today (Saturday, August 15) with all four rinks being played on the neutral green at Chippenham Town (10am).

Westlecot, winners of Area B, with 14 wins out of their 16 matches, will meet Salisbury runners-up in Area D on Saturday, August 23 (10.30am) – two rinks home and two away.

Holders Wootton Bassett will play Area D winners Amesbury also on August 23 – two home and two away.

The four quarter-final victors will move forward to the semi-finals on neutral greens on Sunday, August 30. The final is scheduled for the following weekend September 5/6 at Devizes.
